This being the first full year of my nature pond, my knowledge of all things that fly is proving to be totally inadequate. Thanks to the help of your responses I am getting there but would still appreciate a little more help if possible.

Skimmer/Emerald Female ??????
I think these are all the same dragonfly although one seems to have more black at the base of the head. think #5 had recently emerged from 4 as was very closeby and looks somewhat skinny.

Thanks for the linksTMH, I am now thinking Female Darter of some kind. I have since taken more pics of what I believe are Yellow Winged Darters and they look so similar except for the yellow patches on wings. Going to look at these website in more detail to see if I can get a conclusive ID.
