The beetle fell in a bucket of water, at first glance I thought it was a common cockroach, ewk! But at a closer look, it wasn't it at all. Please help identify. Thanks.
CLOSED: Brown Beetle
It's a long-horned wood-boring beetle in the subfamily Prioninae. Their larvae usually are found tunneling in tree roots or stumps.
Many thanks Flapdoodle, I was concerned about those big mandibles, but I feel better now. Thanks. Wood-boring beetle it's!
