I've discovered these tiny flying bee look alikes, but they are about the size of an ant. So far I've noticed them on my flowering Masterwort and my just starting to bud raspberries and my shrub roses. They seem to not be affecting the plants, but not positive. Thoughts anyone?? Thx!! (Tried to get a pic. No luck. Will keep trying)

Some bees in the family Halictidae ('sweat bees') can be very small. Also, there are several small flower flies in the family Syrphidae that can resemble small bees. Really need a picture...
This does appear to be a flower fly - good pollinators, and the larvae of some species feed on aphids.
Thx!!!
