Yesterday evening here in Eau Claire, WI, I saw a spider walking on the sidewalk with the following description:
-- a back covered in many cream-colored circles/short tubes
-- fine brown "hairs" in between these circles/tubes
-- a round body
I didn't have my phone with me, so didn't get a photo, and Google searching isn't coming up with anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what this might be?
spider with circles/tubes? and brown hair on back
Did it look anything like this? (female wolf spider carrying her young on her back) -

That might've been it. The circles looked more defined compared to that and other wolf spider pics, but it was also in early dusk and thus a little dark...and I hadn't even thought that those could be babies, so I didn't look at it that spider that way. Unless there's a spider that naturally has that circle/hair combination, you might've figured this one out.
