Thing are hotting up in SW France

Gramat, France

Hi, over the past couple of days the temperature has risen quite considerably and we now have hundreds of butterflies (mainly common blue, meadow browns, marbled and cabbage white) feeding of the small flowers in our lawn and the larger weeds round the pond. Have come across two moths? that I cannot recognise and book and internet search proved fruitless. Anyone able to help. Both small about 20 -25mm wingspan.

davefrance, I cannot track down the second one, but I located the first one. It is Chiasmia clathrata .
I found this excellent site for French Butterflies: http://www.papillon-poitou-charentes.org/
and searching the Geometridae, I quickly found it here: http://www.papillon-poitou-charentes.org/Chiasmia-clathrata-Linnaeus-1758,14928.html

I have created a page for the species in BugFiles here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/7059/ . Would you add your picture to this page, please.
