Found this in the house, think it's some kind of ant. Anyone know?
CLOSED: What is this insect?
Wingless wasp in the family Mutillidae. Known as velvet ants, their sting packs a real wallop!
Yup....down here we have the red velvet ant...or cow killer ant...it is said the sting is painful enough to kill a cow, but their venom is probably less toxic than a honeybee.
