Hi, this fly? is a regular visitor to our terrace here in SW France at the moment. It seems to be attracted to the tiles, perhaps because they are warm from the sun. It kinda hovers around then lands with wings in delta triangular shape, not aggressive takes no notice of us and doesn't seem to want to bite. Unlike all the pictures of similar flies I can find it does not have transparent sections within its wings only at the ends as you can see from the picture. Any ideas what it is.

They do not bite.
