The best way I can describe this is a black flying ant or a baby wasp.
We are finding them in the house quite often now. They are attracted to light. I first thought it was fruit flies but after catching one intact, I can see it is something different.
Please help!
Insect Identification flying black pest indoors
More likely to be tiny wasps, as the antennae do not appear to be the geniculate (elbowed) type characteristic of ants. They do not appear to be anything you need worry about.
