Weird moth or something....

I have never seen this insect before and am curious about it. Anyone recognize it? Thanks (New Jersey).

I am pretty sure that is called the Eyed Elater, alaus oculatus, a click beetle

You are most welcome. A neat thing about click beetles.....if they land on their back, they have the ability to "click" their exoskeleton which allows them to flip over and upright themselves....
