What type of spider is this?

Pasadena, CA

Hello, can someone please tell me what type of spider this is? It has taken up residence by my orchids.
Thank you!

Looks like a widow. Does it have red belly markings?

Need a clearer image - there are many spiders in this family (Theridiidae) besides the widow spiders.

Thank you! I looked for any markings on the belly and there appear to be some tannish markings but no red. I've tried to get better pics but it runs behind a window pane when I get to close. It only comes out at night so I will try again tonight. It is in my house, so should I worry about it? I don't want it to lay an egg sac and have a bunch of little ones in my home.
Thanks again for the responses!!

See http://cisr.ucr.edu/brown_widow_spider.html, http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74149.html, and http://articles.latimes.com/2012/jul/02/science/la-sci-sn-brown-widow-spider-california-20120702 for detailed information on brown widow spiders in California - if she lays eggs, you will know for sure, as the egg sac of the brown widow is very spiky in appearance, unlike the smoothly rounded ones of similar spiders.

Maybe catch her and move outdoors or remove permanently. I have an agreement with all bugs. You stay outdoors and you live.
