I just bought a Ginkgo biloba 'Jade Butterfly'. The tag says it prefers full sun. The site where I want to plant it is on the east side of my house and receives part sun, including some afternoon sun. Last year most of the shade plants I planted in this area received too much sun and suffered a lot of sun scald. Will it be ok to plant the ginkgo in this location? I live in Oklahoma City where we have very hot and sunny summers.
Light Reuirements for Jade Butterfly Ginkgo biloba
Should be fine. I had one in a similar location. It did great.
Ditto that. My Gingko is also on the east side and receives part sun. It does fine albeit a slower grower...
