I think they should do a bio of Lewis Carroll done by John Christopher Depp, I'm sure he could do that poem justice. I'm waiting to see him as Tonto.

Ric--Since we are waxing Poetic....
I know I should be in bed--
But I am not
Not much to be said--
I am still awake...
It's not even hot!

The hour is late
Need to clean my slate
for the day...
By early morn
I will live with the scorn
Of having stayed up late
And have nothing to say.....
The above is a "ditty"..A short "poem" created on the spot.
I seem to be pretty good at this...so can YOU!!!!

. it was started by "soferdig" in 2006. YES! THAT long ago!

It is funny! it is serious! There are really nice poems---and then--it seemed to die
a natural death of non-participation.
I have been trying VERY hard to resurrect this Thread--keep it going--with not much support...
Every few months--I go to it and post a bunch of "ditties"....
Hey! Anyone can do some "ditties"....Just start with the first line--and the rest will come naturally.
I would hate to lose all these original contributions on this Thread if Adm. decides to delete it...
Pitch in--and write some yourself...even if you want to make a game of it--
like the Jabberwocky in the Wiki link. Another language??? I can do that!!!
I started out this Post with a "ditty" I created on the spot.
Lets all go there--and add our own. Read the others--go back to part #1--in 2006--
