Insect identification-Please HELP!

Hello, I have created an account to solve my insect issue which started about 1 month ago, I started to see these brown tiny insects falling to my computer and sometime I find them crawling up my leg! These tiny insects fly but I rarely seen them fly, so today i managed to capture one and encased it in see through tape. I took a picture and I noticed there are three dots, one on each wing and one on top of it's head. These insects can be found near my guava tree in the past eating away the rotting fruit we put there to help the tree. The characteristics of the insect are: brown colored, three red dots spotted, very tiny, and can fly (rarely). Here is one photo of it, zoomed and another original picture.

I appreciate your help, please help me!

Geographic location? Also, can you try to get a photo of one not affixed to tape? (Try refrigerating or freezing it before photographing.) I would like to be able see its legs and antennae if at all possible. I suspect that the red dots are an artifact of it being under tape as opposed to being natural markings.

Location at California, it has tiny flurry legs, tape is clear. I am not sure if I can refrigerate or freeze it.
