This guy was hobbling around my house the other afternoon. About 1.5-2 inches long. My husband set it free outside, but we have been searching the web trying to find something like it, with no luck. Thanks!

I think it is similar to a Rove Beetle, but longer?

Larva of a ground beetle (family Carabidae). Like rove beetles, these are general predators on other small arthropods.
