I pulled a piece of grass off a strawberry begonia leaf. Or so I thought!
I was just squatting down admiring the new flowers and I saw the thing start to move. Whaaaaa!?
Like a snake, except a worm. The closest I've come to reading something about it is called a horsehair or gordon worm.
I'm in NC zone 7b.
Weather mild/cool and wet. Conditions appropriate for this worm to be traveling. It can't be a snake. Figure it must be a parasite. creepy. Too small to take a picture. Just very curious. (me). Thanks!

Other possibilities include a recently molted millipede (http://www.popsci.com/gear-gadgets/gallery/2006-07/megapixels-2006-slideshow) or earth centipede (http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6096/6329039150_6ef1c221a8_z.jpg)
