A fly for sure. True flies have a single pair of wings while bees and wasps have two pairs. I think it is a Blue Bottle Fly, but flapdoodle or someone else more knowledgeable will be along to provide you with more detailed ID info.

Thank you. The shape of the abdomen threw me off -- almost looks like it could have a stinger on the end. Now I know to look at the wings!
