found this in my front yard today... southern California

Glad to hear it... though Recluse spiders are not supposed to be found in California, I still hear of reports of people and pets getting bitten by one (I am sure most are bogus). This spider was a rather aggressive creature- actively running towards my hand despite being brushed away on multiple occasions- not a normal behavior for a species of spider known to be shy and retiring (Recluse). Still, sort of unnerving having any spider run towards you over and over, rather than away as most do.
