spring potting up amorphs
I don't think shipping to Hawaii is a problem as long they are bare root, no soil.
There are growers here because the news folks make a big deal of the giant Corpse Plant blooms that occur at the local botanical gardens and zoo. Some growers take their blooms to the local zoo so that the public can enjoy.
I think a lot of bulbs and cutting come into Hawaii inside USPS Priority mail boxes that don't get inspected
u r probably right on plants comming thru priority mail and not getting inspected..
i saw the foster botanical gardens bloom of titanum..:) very cool !!!!!!!!!
i know my good friend/grower lou with winniorchids shows his big blooming titanums
at local firehouse off and on..as fund raiser.. good stuff ..:)
do you plan to move on to some of the "tropical" amorphs as well??
u certainly live in a great climate to do so.. again..JEALOUS!!! LOL :)
my 3 largest titanums just..just barely fit into the house last fall..
i had neighbour kid help me haul them inside..pots were WAY HEAVY!!!!!!!!!!
