A new gardener in NC is asking me for some plants which I will gadly give but I'm not sure what I have will live there. Who can direct me to one of our forums that would list or have some information? THanks Elaine.

If she's in the 7B part of the state, just about anything you send her will grow here. We haven't had more than a couple of hours below 20 in each of the past couple of winters. Even then, a nice covering of newspaper or a cardboard box can protect anything that is iffy. This winter has been longer than usual, but not any colder than we've seen.
