I live in Corpus Christi Texas. I found this little guy (size of pinky nail) already dead in my bedroom. I know the picture is poor quality but it had a segmented front and back abdomen. Back "butt" part was the dark brown color typical of brown recluse spiders. The front was a light brown/tan and the same color as the legs. No noticable "violin" shaped markings. The odd thing was the dark brown "knees" (these you can see in the photo). I was unable to get close enough to see the triad eye pattern but there wasnt anything that stood out as NOT being a triad eye patter (e.g. row of eyes, big googly eyes, etc).
I'm pretty good at identifying BRs after previously living in a house INFESTED with them and took great care not to bring them with me to my new place. I'm so scared that after almost a year of being BR free...They're back! Please tell me what this is so I can appropriately 1) breathe sigh of relief or 2) freak the f*** out my nightmare is starting all over again.

Image too blurry for a definitive i.d.
This is a spitting spider in the family Scytodidae - http://www.flickriver.com/photos/23660854@N07/4563171789/
They are harmless to humans.
AH! That sorta seems like what it might be. Looks like they are remotely related to the Brown Recluse, which must be why it looked similar to me.
Thanks for your help. I can sleep easy at night now and kinda feel bad flushing this guy down the shower drain.
