Camano Island, WA(Zone 8a)

Bob and Carol, those blooms are beyond gorgeous! Ibartoo, when do yours usually bloom?

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

OC; beautiful EASTER CACTUS. I love the orange.

Below is my new bloom for today. it is Padre and is a med/large bloom at around 7 inches. Cup and saucer design. pink w/ yellow and orange bud coloration. very simple, beautiful bloom. bob

First bloom this year from Mor Mor. Strong growth habit and reliable bloomer. It has eleven more buds left to open. This is my favorite epie.

I only got 2 blooms on Epi. crenatum this year. this is the last bloom

My Crenatum is in bud now. it's not bloomed before. My new bloom today is Rose Queen. What a beautiful pink color!

Rose Queen is a beauty! Crenatum seems to be a slow grower, and reticent bloomer...at least for me.

Pawleys Island, SC

Bob and OCcarol, your pics are making me drool. Mom-Lady, mine should be blooming now as well, but I don't have any buds. Mine are recovering from a couple of seasons of neglect ( just enough attention to keep them alive and not much more) so I am trying to restore them to health this season. Any blooms I get this year, will be a very appreciated gift.

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

2. Caroline
3. Alter Ego
Nothing new tonight---just better pictures fresh today.

Lovely epi's =)

Orchidman1, your hybrid "mormor" have to be a scandinavian hybrid? since the word mor mor in both norwegian, swedish and danish means "grandmother" ? =)

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

Haltir: I have no idea. it is my favorite epi thus far and it is a strong bloomer.

Today's new blooms are:
First photo is of another Ackermani. Blooms are larger and more red than orange. Very robust.
Second is the first ever bloom on my Master of Mars. I'm not too pleased with the looks of this one.
Third is a beautiful German Empress.

Still SO BEAUTIFUL! So, your bloom run lasts more than 2 months! Wow! Um, could you please post another pic of Fiesta de Flores? I happen to love the color orange (I know, sue me) and the colors on that one seem extra pretty - I'd like to get another look if possible.

Bedford, VA(Zone 7a)

Bob, I have Young Nun but it hasn't bloomed for me yet. Is it nicely fragrant?

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

1. Fiesta de Flores for Momlady

dragonfly---I have often heard that Young Nun has a nice scent. Since I can't smell that well, I'm not sure.

Season is close to ending. Today's blooms:
1. Bumpkin
2. Three Oranges
3. Color Splash (bloom was on a newly rooted planting and is small and malformed)

Whoa! I'm still waiting on color splash after three years. The picture showed mostly yellow with red streaks.

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

This picture is of Screen Test, Beautiful yet simple.

OC; remember that this picture is of a malformed bloom. Since it was growing on a newly rooted cutting, it may have not gotten what it needed for proper growth.

Wow Bob, You must be doing happy dances looking at all those blooms. I am doing happy dances looking at all of your pictures. LOL My epies are beginning to look better. they sure have had a rough time of it tho. I guess I just barely kept them alive in the greenhouse. I will be potting up lots of cuttings this week though. I am hoping for blooms though. Hey if my April Showers can bloom in December, I can hope others are confused too right?
Anyway, just checking in. I love the pics.

Linda

Santa Ana, CA(Zone 10b)

Gotcha, Bob. I'll have to wait at least another to see what mine does. Bloom season is done here.

orchidman1, where's today's pic?? Don't tell me you are running out of blooms....nooooooo......

Pawleys Island, SC

Hey, hubby surprised me with a road trip and when we got back, I got yet another surprise! I have a bud. This one is on my epi strictum, but I have a bud! I am so excited. Yesterday I had a prickly pear cactus bloom open. I just love cactus flowers. Anyway, I just wanted to check in and see all the pretties. I will keep checking for buds......

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

I still have several more blooms to come yet not counting late bloomers like Strictum and Oxy. Today I checked out every plant in my greenhouse to inventory and clean up any problems. Pictures below are some I took for my album and show more than single blooms. bob

Great show, Bob! Mine are finished accept for the bud on Oxypetalum, and I'll never get a picture of that.

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

Today's bloom is a beautiful way to end the season. White Splendor. bob

Breathtaking! Bob, my epies are finally beginning to put out new growth and look better. I have 1 bud so far on an epi strictum, but most of the others are really taking off now. Thanks for your advice.

Camano Island, WA(Zone 8a)

Thank you for the wonderful show.

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

Sad but true, my last bloom of the Spring season is a NOID. It was marked Sunnoma Sunrise which would have been a yellow if true. Notice the lack of any reproductive appendages. Malformed or what?.

That is very strange. I don't think I have ever seen a flower form like that. It is so hard to know that when you are buying these gorgeous plants, you are being sent the right ones. It is a pretty shade of pink though.

Deep Run, NC(Zone 7b)

The Oxy season begins this evening.
