Spring Central TX RU April 27 Sign Up - Hempstead

I am pleased to say that we will be hosting our third Round Up at the farm Saturday April 27. We will kickoff around 11, although you are welcome to come earlier. Be careful, we will get you to help with chores.
I will send directions privately closer to the date. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I will update here.

I'm sorry to announce that I won't be able to attend this season's RU after all. All the kids are gonna be outta pocket, and my niece is hosting a yard sale that I just HAVE to get in on.

I've been lamenting for a few years now that I've needed to sell off the "good" stuff, and the opportunity is before me. Although, she did NOT consult with me on the date!!!

I'll catch up with you guys at the next RU, for sure!

This sounds like fun. I've not been to this RU but Patrob told me about it.
Since I'm in Conroe, I'm not that far.
Not sure what plants I will have, but for sure Sunflowers (maximillia?), probably some plain ol' green airplane plants, possibly a few each: blue agave, Agave Americiana (?), and maybe Aloe vera.

anyone know if I should be able to successfully transplant Butterfly Pea Vine? or Virginia Creeper? Can I trade cuttings from Virginia Creeper or Carolina Jasmine? (I have the kind that grows wild in the woods here). oh yes, I can possibly bring some yarrow to trade. i'll see what I can put together.

Carole, I would love to have a piece of that butterfly pea vine, or seeds if you have any, it is a beautiful plant. I don't kmow if you can transplant it or not?

Linda Kay, I'd be happy to try to transplant a couple as a test for you. So many of them pop up. It'd be a shame not to allow them to grow instead of being pulled, as they're not where i'd like vines.

LK, would you start a food thread please. I go in tomorrow for surgery and it needs to get up there. Will sure miss the greens and the kids Linda but strike while the iron is hot to get rid of those things

While i'm making plans to attend, I have to let you all know that my husband drives over the road. he's rarely home, so when he is able to swing by the house, I like to be here. he's not sure yet, but he's working in Houston this week. there's an outside chance he'll be able to get home. I may not know until Friday! I know.... very VERY late notice.

hey guys.... hate to tell you, but i'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow.
my hubby made it home for the weekend, so we've got to finish some home improvement projects instead.

if anyone still wants to trade outside the RU, i'd be happy to ship you the plants I promised.
at least I tried to hint ahead of time I might not make it ;-(
