I found these hatched pods near the top of the soil in my garden. I have never seen them before this year. I've dug up more of them, but I can't find one with anything in it. The walls of the pod are very think and sort of white/transluscent.
Does anyone know what they are??? Help!!!
What are these???
These appear to belong to a group of fungi known as 'birds nest' fungi - the 'cups' have the fungus' spores at the bottom; these then are splashed out by rain drops.
