Why, why, why?
Cause, often when I go into the ID forum the words 'choose a file' are missing,
and I'm unable to use that forum, especially to get a tree ID.
I was begining to think that perhaps I was over-using the forum and am being blocked! Is that possible?

I'd much rather use the ID forum, as the query can be solved.

Lol. If that was the case, I'd be blocked a long time ago. It should work in the id forum. Take a screen print of the missing "choose file" and add to the Dave's Garden forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/dg/all/#axzz2MGuuVLnD for Admin follow-up. Include browser & version. You might also try "refresh" to see if it self-fixes.
