Money Matters - Part 15
Well, nothing new. They didn't read the Patriot Act before they passed it, either. It wasn't printed and in their hands yet.
1st time I went ot. Isnt it a federal law unless your on salary or a contractor?
I have worked for three different plant merchandising companies. Only one allowed 'overtime' with prior approval. We were always getting reminders to not go over hours. The stores I worked in did 3-4 times the volume of sales as other stores and yet each store got the same # of merchandising hours. I would have made much more 'on commission' or a % of sales! Any way, suffice it to say that I was a lean mean merchandising machine at the end of each season!
When I owned a house cleaning company with employees paid on an hourly basis, I changed from hourly pay to pay per house cleaned well with no customer complaints. This allowed each cleaning team to finish their houses more quickly and thus do more houses and make more money than when they were paid by the hour. We all seemed to like it but I hated being "an employer"
Are we headed for peak fertilizer? A look at P and K of the NPK.

Hey Darius how are you?
Ugh gas almost at $4!
Yep, been going up every week.
Just read that gas is up 35 days in a row! Funny how there is just crickets from media.
Some of you perhaps can remember those old wringer washers? And how flat clothes came out. Feeling like that last drop wrung out. Or like that Kingston Trio song about Charlie who couldn't get off the Boston MTA because when he got on the fare was one price but before he could get off it went up.
All the same usual explanations as to why...here's a new one
Maybe some global investor group wants to make a killing by replacing all of the pumps in all of the gas stations with ones that can calculate the price per gallon on a second by second basis with direct debit from bank account to boot, so we can all 'play the market' at the pump in real time! Day traders or day pumpers. And no 'hoarding gas as it spoils in under 30 days and can wreck new engines.
I swear that one pump I fill up at sees me get 28MPG but if I use the other three I get about 10 MPG less.
Alway look to see if the pump has been inspected by the state and is not Expired. it has to be inspected to make sure the gallons are not over or under.
Also I know this is going to sound weird. If a tanker just comes in and dumps its load, Bubbles/Air will fill that underground holding tank. You put gas in your vehicle & the air dicipates and you have less gas. Also in the same time when they dump they are stirring up any water that has gathered over time. Not good it usually takes a good 12 hours to vent & realease.
Trust me = I know
Hearing tax refunds slow. Anyone get theirs yet?

Kids in VT have theirs 3 weeks now. Still waiting on State. Me, I don't get one. boo hoo no government savings plan for me.
Our State came immediately, our Fed gave a 'got yr return' message about 2 weeks ago. We had heard those with education deductions ( us) would be delayed.
have not even filed yet
haven't filed yet either
Not yet here, either
If the country is trillions of $s in debt where does the $ come from for refunds?
lol it is being printed as minting is too slow and costs more in raw materials or it is electronically recorded in the virtual treasury.
I haven't filed yet either.
I have filed.
Thankfully (but only in a few ways) I don't have to file.
Just checked and both of my refunds are in my bank.
arghh - my 1 store turned into 2 stores & this morning it turned into 3 stores. If it wasnt physical labor at 54 years old I would be fine. I am LOOKING for a different job. Freak Me!
I have 3 stores again tomorrow & Monday. Ughh. One person is not made for doing 3 Stores as 2 stores is pushing it. I worked 49.5 hours last week with 2.
I am going to croak.
be thankful you have a job.
So many jobs are 'feast or famine' these days!
Abercrombie to close 50 stores.
Glad A&F is closing stores, their visuals were as close to porn as you can get, totally not necessary to sell clothes and obviously not working for them
Yes, I agree.
Gas is ridiculous again.
The VP said today that Americans are no longer worried about the economy.
They are so out of touch with real people
What is he smokin?
Mind-boggling. And they also deny we have a spending problem. You would think the apocalypse was coming with the sequester 'cuts'. What a joke. Then CBO says the actual cuts for '13 are 41 billion. This is in a budget of 3600 billion! They just spent over 70 billion of new, borrowed Chinese money on Sandy. It's just so out of control.
More lunacy. So glad we had financial reform.

GAO audit says the healthcare law will add 6.2 trillion to the debt over 10 years.
I guess I am going to be Edward Sissor Hands sister. Put an app in today for a Dental Assistant Job. In 1 hour I had a phone call & interview set up for Friday at 10 am. Now I get a phone call to do more with 3 stores as a Flower Fluffer and they want me to work tomorrow, Friday & Saturday. The guy from the 3rd store totally quit.
I am going to freak out and cut the flower bouquet's to look like a Black Rhinoceros and go to the Interview with the Dentist. Talk about freaking out.
Just say you have a dentist appointment and need the time off - it isn't even a lie! Good luck on the interview.
Best wishes, Sherrie!!
3rd store I was helping & filling in. Now the guy just quit. To do sales & inventory, 3 stores, 2 of them 30 miles apart is impossible. To get the product out & everthing done in 1 day I would have to work 16 hours.
Its just "untimely" and puts unwanted pressure on my pee brain. Dental Assistant is not a LABOR job & I went to school for it. Lets hold on & see. Friday 10 am.... Unless I go Postal.
Sherrie - you can't afford the stamps (to go postal - ummm - I hope that was funny...)
