I only have two blooming now. Most of my violets are still babies, not old enough to bloom. I get so impatient.

I was just asking on the Gesneriphiles if anyone knew where to find it.

Thank you my friends. The sinningia came from Dave's Violets, truly a sinningia heaven. Not only the selection is incredible, the plants he sends are very nice, in bud or started blooming very soon. Although many plants are sold out very early but there are still so many beauties to splurge on. I'm thinking about coming back in the near future. Here is Scentimental Journey, a terrific bloomer

That's a beautiful sinningia!

Akron, OH(Zone 5a)

This plant followed me home yesterday. She reminded me of nothing but Tiger, same variegation, ruffled dark violet flowers. And red reverse.... Are there any chances she's what I think?

I have no idea how folks can I'd av's. my tiger could look alot diff from this one. In fact , mine has quite a bit of pink in the leaves. Sure is pretty!

Akron, OH(Zone 5a)

Yes, it's almost impossible to ID violets. But I thought there weren't many like Tiger. It does have pink, probably the light setting makes it paler. Does yours have red back?

Miami, FL(Zone 10b)

I've got a couple of African violets budding but what I'm really excited about is my first Episcia blooming. The bloom belongs to Episcia Silver Dust.

They are red underneath. First one is tiger. I have a few Av's that are wilting, i'm a little worried about them, I might have put intoo much fertilizer into the water, their moist but not real wet,

1 is tiger
2 is jungle print, cool looking flowers, has two diff kinds on there.
3 is witch doctor
4 frozen in time

Hello everyone. I'm new to the group and grow plumeria & brugmansia. But, catching the AV bug. Where can I find some of the variegated violets posted here?
Lonnie

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Welcome Lonnie, there's plenty of vendors to buy from ,there listed in the sticky at the top of this forum, but winter shipping is pricey.then there's ebay, then there's local av clubs that has there sales and there plenty in Texas.Maybe there's one in your area. Are you anywhere near the Norne(sp?) area.A friend told me there's a nursery there that sells av.s

Forgot to mention swapping with other members on the forum. That's always fun.I believe there's a few members that have the Brug bug. There trade lists are posted at the top of the forum also.
