CLOSED: Question: Over-wintering Praying Mantis Eggs

I had a Praying Mantis in my flower bed last fall. It was a little large for a native one, but a little small & tan for a Californian. So it may or may not have been native. Now I notice an egg case on a loose brick by the flower bed - on the cold shade-all-winter north-side of the house. Do I need to do anything to get the eggs to winter over? Like move them to the south or east side of the house? Keep them out of direct sun? Or assume that Natives will survive & non-natives won't, whatever I do?
