I live in Michigan (zone 5b) and I would like to keep two potted spruces, about 4-5 feet tall, flanking my entry door until spring time when I can plant them.
Does anyone know if they will tolerate being on a 8 foot deep wrap-around covered porch in zone 5b for the winter?
Does anyone know what kind of care they will need?
I sure appreciate your help! :)
Glenda
Can potted spruces survive winter on a covered porch?
I'm no expert, but my opinion is this will work. Keep them protected from wind as much as you can. water only if dry, and only when temps are above freezing.
