I am thankful for the brave turkey who has given his life so we can enjoy him on Thursday. ^_^
Thanksgiving A Time to Give Thanks
Day 18) I am thankful for my home, I have been blessed with walls strong enough to hold in happiness, anger and tears. Big enough to raise a large family and several animals but small enough to keep us close.
Day 19) I am thankful for childhood friends who contact you out of the blue. They make you wipe the cobwebs from your mind and replay old memories in your head. Those memories make you laugh, take you back to a sweeter, much easier time. Sometimes it's just what you needed....you just didn't know it!
Day 20) I am thankful I was taught to start from scratch, work hard and in the end it will be more rewarding. My veggie garden comes to mind when ever I think of this lesson.
Thankful for the beauty found in nature
Thankful my husband is so thoughtful of others and will go way beyond for his family.
Thankful for the internet that allows me to meet new friends and keep in touch with my family so easily.
Pixie, you write very poetically.....today's thanks is for giving me enough money to buy all the Thanksgiving dishes & the health to be able to prepare them.....
Today I am very thankful for my massage therapist who just gave me a nice, relaxing, one hour massage. ^_^
You shoulda sent that massage therapist over to that brave selfless turkey Victor.
Thankful today for my wonderful soulmate, who lves me in spite of my foibles. I am thankful for his ability to do almost anything or willing to learn how to do something in order to save money. This does mean we wait for things to get accomplished. Our list of to-dos is long. So I am also thankful that I am a patient woman content with what is in the present.
Thankful I work from home and can stay in my pjs all day if I want to
Thanks to the Creator for sending me a red-breasted nuthatch today....have been looking for them for a month......
cool!
Day 21) I am thankful for life lesson's like the one above, my garden allows me to feed my family & friends healthy food at a low cost.
By practicing this every year I learn other valuable lessons...
patience ~ waiting for the darn thing to sprout!
failure ~ despite your best efforts, it dies anyways.
Wisdom ~ some things are not equipped to survive a Maine winter!!
I'm thankful today for my health and that I was able to take the dogs for a walk in the sun and get all my cooking done.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
Day 22) I am thankful I have 2 family memebers @ my table for the first time. They have no idea how much it means to me to have them here. I've lost 3 people this year that I love and 2 would normally be at my table on Thanksgiving.
I am so very grateful those seats will be full and not haunt me all day and that I have enough to share.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Northeast friends, I love you guys!
My Granddaughters have been up since 6, it's going to be a long day...I am truly blessed I get to spend it with them!
Happy Thanksgiving from me and the overstuffed cats who had real birds for breakfast. (A family tradition - they get raw quail for Thanksgiving and Christmas.)
I am thankful for the holiday feeling, and that there is so much good in people.
Happiest of Thanksgivings to all.....Memory, you are 'Cat Mama' of the year! I'm thankful the turkey is cooking, everything's on schedule, & my family will be here with me.....
Sleepy animals that ate too much turkey. ^_^

OMG they are so cute!
Stinky butt Winston can't have Turkey!
I guess turkey is a no-no for all dogs......Suey had a piece of cheese for her T-Day treat.....
It is mostly the turkey skin which is very high in fat. The fat overloads their liver in no time at all.
I gave Wall-e the heart and gizzard
Ritual??? ;)
hee hee
I'm thankful for internet shopping, I didn't have to go to any store and I'm almost done
Same for me.
I'm waiting patiently for PayPal to actually BE a "pal" and PAY.
Good one!!heehee
Those of you on FB have seen this, for those not, im keeping up my list. ^_^
I'm way behind on posting what im thankful for but haven't forgotten!
Day 23) I am thankful for my health, despite the abuse and stress I have put my body through.
Day 24) I am thankful for the gift of hearing~
The cry of a new born, the sound of laughter, crash of the waves, rain drops on a tin roof, silence of the night, and the song that vibrates my soul are all reminders of this gift.
Day 25) I am thankful for my eyesight~ a gift I have taken for granted many times until I watched loved ones struggle and my dog ate my glasses 4 weeks ago.
I have seen eagles soar, butterflies flutter and seals frolic in the ocean.
I am blessed to be able to view the faces I love, the varying shades of green only Maine's evergreens can display and the gold & pink hues of the sunrise every morning.
Day 26) I am thankful that I live in Maine and have 4 seasons. Despite my complaints of the cold and short growing season, I do feel blessed to watch Mother Nature at her best.
Day 27) I am thankful for people who understand that im going through a rough year and need time alone. Thank you for not pushing me or telling me what I need to be doing. Mostly thank you for your support....you know who you are. :)
Day 28) I am thankful my Mother gave birth to my oldest brother Clark on this day. You have been a great big brother despite the immense age difference of almost 18 years. (just had to point that out :-)
Day 29) I am thankful for the American Cancer Society and the Dempsey Foundation and for all who donate to the cause. BTW, I will be doing the Dempsey Challenge again next year. Hopefully all 3 of my daughters will be running with me so expect us to be asking for donations again. ♥
That's a great list, Pixie.....happy you posted it!
