Weigelea (sp) pruning for winter?

New home as a lovely red weigelea...about 5' tall and the branches reach out about 4 ft from center. It had a lovely long bloom time this spring and I would love to give it the care it needs to continue.
Just a note.growing in heavy clay...zone 5a.

I have a Weigela. Are you wanting to reduce the total size? I keep mine loose by taking out entire older stems.
