Hi. Could somebody please enlighten me as to who this caterpillar is? I'm pretty sure it's a noctuid, and it's quite abundant on chamise in the mountains outside Santa Barbara. I'm hoping for at least a genus-level ID.

Noctuid Caterpillar on chamise from Santa Barbara
It looks like one of the sallows in the genus Feralia - see http://bugguide.net/node/view/536216/bgimage for an example.
