Saw this bug on Prickly Pear Cactus during a walk in the woods yesterday, just south of Fort Worth in Central Texas. Anyone give me an id? Sorry about the phone picture...no camera with me. The ones on the paddle were more redish, but the same bug.
We were looking and talking about the Cochineal insects that were on the cacus when we noticed these.
