really nice

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Great pics, everyone! Jen, I like that happy barn. Too bad you couldn't have stopped and zoomed in on that. How neat! Love the fall pics from Longwood. That oakleaf hydrangea is really pretty.

I went for a walk with Gretchen and the dogs last weekend at a conservation area. There was some nice color. Other than that, I have not done much fall photography this year. Here are some pics.

Never too many, love fall colors

Problem with the country roads there are no shoulders to pull onto and then there are the roadside ditches

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Jen.

Yes, that's a problem, although if the traffic is very light or almost non-existent, you can get over to the edge a bit and put on your hazard lights on. I've done that before.

Nice photos, Karen.....like the ferns & fungi.....

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Marilyn. I especially like the one of the white ferns. Looks ghostly.

Very pretty, Bill...I don't know why I don't get fall color on any of mine!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i do not get color on all of them every year so it helps to have a lot of them, some are more consistent than others, japonicum's are very reliable.

i think you have a kamagata, i got one this year and it is beginning to color nicely.

Thomaston, CT

I have kasagyama...lost it's leaves early :>(

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Here are a few more fall color shots. This time i decided to just show wide landscape shots so you can see all the leaves on the ground and not just close ups of individual trees/shrubs. The big rake begins this weekend.

Will need to get into the woods and trim down some of those burning bushes - dug up three in the yard last weekend and burned them - may move some vib's to replace them.

The color in those photos is awesome!

Gorgeous, Bill! Your fall landscape is outstanding.

2) Under a Bloodgood
3) Koto-no-ito
4) Omato
5) Kamagata just beginning

I have no leaves left on anything! Cannot understand why you still do, Bill......

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i guess because my land slopes down to the pond and is in a protected little valley there is a micro climate back there - funny thing is all the sugar maples, birch, oak, and hickory have lost all their leaves.

Thomaston, CT

That is odd.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

love the colors!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Beautiful fall colors, Karen and Bill! I can't wait for my tiny viburnums to make a contribution! JMs, viburnums and dogwoods are just great together, Bill, and the leaves on the ground are still colorful.

Sadly, we have to rake this weekend too :(

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Rosemary!

More beauties, Bill! I just love 'Peaches And Cream'. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "I need to get that one!"
