Wikipedia says this beautiful yellow butterfly is native to Asia! We live in the northeastern U.S., however, so I am perplexed. Does anyone know what it is?
Beautiful yellow butterflywhat is it, please?
I think it is a Common Sulphur and not a Sleepy Orange based on what I am seeing in the markings, noting the dark outline from the outer edges of the wings are on both species. Others species do not fit the location
What does wikipedia say that it is? I'm inclined to say that this is an Orange Sulphur (Colias eurytheme). They are highly variable and native to the US.
