CLOSED: Unsure what this is

I am highly allergic to this insect. I am unsure if it is a type of wasp or hornet. It is approximatley 2 cm long. I live on the Louisiana/Texas border, so this would have to be one with the southern habitat. Any help in identifying him would be great.
