ANSWERED: Amaryllis

I was given an Amaryllis and told to put it in my garage which I did and quickly forgot about it for a couple years. This past spring I noticed there was green growing in the pot, pulled it out onto my deck and it bloomed twice during the summer. Everything I read says it should bloom at Christmas time. How should I take care of this plant? It looks like it has developed an offspring. Should I divide them?
