Could you help I.D. this tree? It grows along the water edge and has these attractive berries at present.

One of the shrubby dogwoods, probably Cornus amomum or similar with those bluish fruits and opposite arrangement of leaves.

Hah, I learned two new things today. 1. Indeed, that is the Cornus amomum (Silky dogwood) and the berries also called "drupes". Thank you for the positive I.D. ViburnumValley.
