2012 N Central TX RU in Burleson**OCTOBER 6TH** ATTENDANCE

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Definately miss you Anna. Spring will be back at Randol Mill next year, closer for the Dallas and East Tx folks.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

And the Frisco folks!

Dallas, TX

Well, I'm sorry to say but it now looks unlikely that I'll be able to make it this time around :(

I just found out that my friend who runs DFW Collie Rescue needs some help at the Great Rescue Roundup at the Stockyards on Saturday.

This is a breed specific rescue event with over 20 different rescue groups featuring dogs from Pugs to Mastiff's and everything in between, so if you have any friends who would like a certain breed of dog please send them our way for a visit. Oh, did I mention it's free -- more details: http://www.stockyardsstation.com/event/detail.php?id=29&date=1349535600

I'm going to miss all of you but I'll see you in the spring (or if you're Deb. I'll see you at Home Depot)

Kate

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Ack. I'm just (barely) starting to figure out who's who. I want EVERYONE to be there. Oh well. Will there be name tags? I am horrible with names.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Carrie, yes, everyone will have a nametag with their DG name and their real name.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yay that's great!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Carrie....Plus we will take pictures of everyone so later we can remember who is who. Best way to connect with others is to attend RUs!!

Kate...so sorry you won't make it but know that you are working with a worthy group!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Smockette and her momma ;)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I do pore over RU pictures and try to connect faces with names. Just hope nobody ever changes hairstyles.

Sheila, I will have 2 guests, and Austin will have 1 guest.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I wish I could be there but have to cancel. I hope to make the spring one.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Gee were losing people left and right.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

*******I will be sending out directions probably tomorrow (Thurs),
so make sure you are on the attendance thread!*******

Glad for the cooler weather, and by noon it will be much improved I am sure. Sybil has lots of space and we can move out in the sun if needed. Plus the plants won't roast!!

So sorry those having problems arise keeping you from joining the fun. Miss you Sandy, and sorry we won't get to meet you Lori.

I will add the guest on the list.

Check list:

Don't forget your door prizes, one for each person in your party. No wrapping necessary....simple garden related prizes.

Small tables for your plants if you have them. I think there will be plenty chairs this go round.

Label the plants with the name of the plant, who it goes to and your id. Any not pre-traded leave on TOP of the table and put those for someone under their table.

Dress in layers and bring a hat, umbrella or poncho. We are under a pavillion to eat, but plants are usually outside the area.

Don't forget to bring the food you signed up for. Didn't sign up?....grab a snack item or dessert on the way.

When you arrive stop on the lane by the pavillion...you will have help to unload plants, food, etc. Then move car to parking area. Come first to the sign in table (near the food) and get your name tag.

Bring calm winds and sunshine if you find it along your way!!
If you haven't gotten your direction map (on dmail) by now please dmail me today.

Oh no, well make sure you watch for the spring RU. You and Eddy will be missed.

Caddo Mills, TX(Zone 8a)

My stupid explorer decided to break down last night so I won't make it either. I am so very upset that I won't get to come and see everyone. Tina

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Brrrrrr. My GPS says that sybram's place doesn't exist, but we will find it anyway!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow!! this is going to be a very small group, sorry you can't make it Tina.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Carrie, be sure to take the Renfro exit from I35, the following exit which looks more logical doesn't go across the highway. Be sure you have Sibyl's number with you in case you need to call for directions.
Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Just call Sybil's number and we can lead you in. If you print the map it is not that hard to find.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Try CR- ### my garmin took it that way.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Will do. Remember I'm coming very late.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well it was very cool at times, but no rain! Great day for good times with like minded friends. l enjoyed meeting some new friends and seeing others I haven't seen in a while. Thanks to Sybram and Jeff for opening their home to us again. We ended with a walk in the woods on their property, nice treat!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes, many thanks to our gracious hosts. What a beautiful spot!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Here is the picture file in case you want to see our group. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1283675/

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Sheila did a LOT of organizing and taking-care-of-everything--thank you!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

It takes a village as they say. There was Stephanie with the trade thread, Josephine and Frank helping unload and with door prizes. Most of all thanks to Syb and Jeff who opened their home to us! Numerous others helping with food and other things. It is a lot more work than it appears to be sometimes.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes it is, and you always do a great job Sheila.
