It looks like a mosquito, but I've never seen one this large. It has banding on the legs. I'd say it's roughly twice the size of a tiger mosquito. Thanks!

Actually, a mosquito is a type of fly (order Diptera). This does appear to be a mosquito, perhaps a Gallnipper, which is a big one.

A semi-beneficial mosquito - its larvae eat other mosquito larvae and the adults have not been proven to vector any human disease...
