I posted this on the pest ID forum, but I'm guessing that wasn't the right place. Looking to ID what I think is a Moth. We've got a lot of them this year, more than any in the past. Can you help? Thanks :-)
CLOSED: Moth?

Thank you so much…I had been skimming through the Bug files until my eyes were beginning to cross! We have had a "bumper crop" of these this year. Never seen anything like it . They've been like gnats out there. I'm thinking all of our wet weather, with tropical storms may have something to do with it? They are very attractive with the "wood grain" look. Thanks again. :-)
Thanks moon! You always have the best links! :-))
You are most welcome Tim....I like pretty pictures...grin
you have lots of Pentas Tim??? That's what they love to host on at my house
I do have several Pentas…Mostly on the other side of the house. These seem to be congregating near my back, covered deck. In this area I have some Tecoma esperanza, and some perennial Salvia. The name slips my mind at the moment. Very interesting!
Here we have the Humming bird Moth. Sphinx kalmiae. They love the 4 o'clocks.( Edited for link)
