I saw this big mean looking spider in my back yard. Anyone know what it is? Is it poisonous? Thanks!
Please help identify this spider found in Northern Maryland
It is an orbweaver in the family Araneidae. It is therefore harmless. Almost every spider you will ever see injects its poison into its prey, and occasionally into humans. This means that spiders are venomous. Almost every spider you will ever see, including this one, is not dangerous to humans.
