Hi, could you please identify these two spiders? :) I found the first one inside the house and the other hanging her web! Thanks!
CLOSED: 2 spiders ID
The first one could be a Fishing Spider or Huntsman? And the other is an Orbweaver.
Yeap! the second one is the one you said! thanks! But I'm still troubled about the first one! I found out those species you said but the look very similar....
I think it's relatively small to be a huntsman..
What's the size? I'm still thinking Nursery Web Spider of some kind.
1,5 - 2 cm body and 5-6cm legs included.
Pretty sure no. 1 is a huntsman - http://www.cypenv.info/cypnat/images/DSC_0060.jpg
I found that picture as well but I think it's wrong info... When I search fir huntsman spiders, I don't find any pictures showing the same spider as mine.. The patterns on the body and the stripes on the legs don't match with any huntsman spiders
Not only am I certain that your spider is a huntsman, I'm pretty sure that it is this species - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/uQ9Nu8cqqotfNG6apTrAHg
You must remember that like humans, spiders show a good deal of individual variation, so the odds are greatly against you finding an image that exactly matches yours.
Well I'll just go with Huntsman then :) I'm still not convinced about the species.. The one in your link doesn't have the distinct pattern on its back as the one that mine has. Anw, thanks everybody for the help!!! If anyone still wants to keep looking for the exact match, you are welcome! :)
loannos,I am fairly certain that Flapdoodle is correct in his identification. The body structure is absolutely correct for a Huntsman spider. The markings in your image are generally those of the Huntsman spiders in the Genus Eusprassus species dufouri. If you Google for images, you will see the diversity within the species.
