gas went up 40 cents this am. I bet is because of the wicked weather.
Money Matters - Part 13
Likely so... Ours has been dropping a penny or two a week for several weeks, but I haven't been out today to see if greed has driven up the prices here.
Wow, I bet you're right. I had not thought about filling up on gas but luckily did so on Thursday at a 'good' price.
Weird since it has been dropping.
Wow talk about price gouging, not here though
we paid 3.57 today
One station here yesterday and today $3.36 per gal and 5 cents off for cash! Long lines though as people fill vehicles and multiple gas cans for generator fuel.
the price had dropped to $3.09. now it's $3.49.
Lots of people filling cans at the gas station today but the price hadn't gone up.

9 Maryland No surprise there!!!
Our gas price still on creeping downslope as of yesterday. 3 37

I see Ohio is #6
Looks like you guys should all move west when you reach retirement age . . . but I'd stop before you hit California. I can't imagine this will be a good place to retire anytime soon either.
Gas is holding steady at about $3.75 a gallon out here.
I'd take $ 3.75 gas in a heartbeat!
Actually, the cost of living in SW Virginia isn't bad... there's just a lack of the "city" conveniences we have come to enjoy. 6 years ago I paid $89K for this 19 acre property with house, run-down barn, outbuildings, spring... and creekfront. Most of the land is steep, and wooded, but what's around the house is enough for several gardens.

Time to get those cups and saucers up on eBay for holiday giving. Did you sell that clear glass art thing? (Sorry - didn't know what to call it.)
Happy birthday darius!!!!
Thanks for the wishes!
I'm just glad we didn't get hit hard by Sandy like so many NE areas did. I did my share of standing in line with a gas can back in the 70's oil embargo...
Birthdays wishes, Darius aplenty
Good luck with the cups and saucers, Sherrie
Stock market voting today.
I hope the government officials get to work to address the fiscal cliff! Noone knew what would happen in wall street today but either a drop or a surge was predicted.
i have no faith in this goverment and that is the only positive thing i can comment on.
Stocks were moving up a little this morning.
Down now. Even McDonald's sales down for the first time in a decade. I see worse times on the near horizon. I see Israel now attacking Iran sooner than later. Higher taxes no matter what happens with the fiscal cliff. Continued Euro problems, as I have said now for months and months. No real good news out there at all.
Also - now all the defense companies who were bribed into not notifying their employees about pending layoffs, as mandated by law, are starting to. Boeing was the first yesterday. More to come.
so that's the good news - what is the bad?
I will be going into the "Holiday Mode" = More hours more sore muscles. Good Grief. I am still not sold on this job. It is a LEAN job. Better then nothing but very lean & not reliable.
The company I work for Key Floral picked up another chain of supermarkets but only took on 15 of the stores throughout the NE.
I am taking on another store starting Monday. I will now hove 30 hrs per week big :-)
I think this is leading up to something????
That is great!

Add Northrup Grumman, our local division announced yet another layoff, of primarily executive and managerial positions this time- of course, since the engineering and tech ppl have been laying off for a couple years now. Radar systems for airports and defense.
Thats great schickenlady! So glad it paid off to try it at starter level.
