I have had these bugs in my cellar and attached garage for quite a while now. I see them mostly at night. I have tried spraying all cracks and where I see them with Ortho Max and have tried spreading the granular bug killer as well with no help. Does anyone know what this bug is and how to get rid of them. Do they have a nest somewhere. Any help appreciated.
You are trying to kill beneficial insects. These are ground beetles, general predators on other small arthropods.
