I haven't seen this one previously but that doesn't necessarily mean it's rare. It clung to our fly-screen and refused to budge even when poked!
We live on the Largest Greek island (Crete) in the Mediterranean. It's a hot summer's day. Around 28°C in the shade.
To give an idea of size, the mesh is 1/15" or 1.7mm.
