I believe the first one is a ichneumon and the second one is a very tiny about 1/8 of an inch leaf hopper but I don't know their full names. Can onyone help me name them.
Two insects today.
The wasp looks like Ammophila to me. Family - Sphecidae.

They are parasitoids on caterpillars and sawflies and dig burrows where they bury them with egg.
The second looks like a planthopper, perhaps Thionia simplex.

The sphecid could be Ammophila nigricans - http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/32783205
Yep! The first one is Ammophila and the second one is Thionia. Thank you for your help, ONCE AGAIN. I'm trying to ID but so far with no luck. :) M
