I have 2 plants which I believe are some kind of butterfly weeds. There is one of these insects on each plant, seemingly guarding the seed pods. They look familiar but I've never known what they are. Thanks for any help you can give.

Its a Large Milkweed Bug, Oncopeltus fasciatus.
