CLOSED: Please help me identify this insect. ( larger image inside)
It's a flat millipede in the order Polydesmida - if you hold it gently to your nose and sniff carefully, you should detect a faint almond-like odor, as they give off a cyanide compound as a defensive measure. Not enough to be harmful to humans, though.
