Dozens of these shiny guys were all over my clump of Big Leaf Mountain Mint - Pycnanthemum muticum. Thanks in advance for any insight.
CLOSED: Shiny flies(?) on Mt. Mint
These are sweat bees (family Halictidae) - valuable pollinators, but pack a powerful sting for their size!
