CLOSED: WHAT BEETLE IS THIS?

Calhoun, GA

The bugs were on the outside of our kitchen window one day a few years ago in Summer. I snapped a few pics, but I have never identified them or seen them again. I can't find a match in any of the pics from the DG website.

First of all...LOL! Boys will be boys!

I think it's a Blue Bug nymph. Zicrona caerulea. What do you say, FD and FP?

Florida predatory stink bug, a good guy - http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/beneficial/e_floridanus.htm

If they moved on this quickly, they are likely predatory insects looking for bad insects to munch. They usually move on when there is no food for it to eat.

Thank you folks very much for helping me with the mystery beetle question. The nymph stage of the Florida predatory stinkbug no longer eludes me, and I'm very happy to have a positive i.d. on this!!! This piques my interest more. Have always loved bugs. I have another to ask about soon. Just snapped a photo the other night. Good shot. Post soon. Thanks again!
